The Digital Humanities Lab supports the use of IT in humanities on a large scale. The main goal of the institution is to promote humanities and at the same time bear in mind that the digital tools make the transfer of knowledge easier and faster. This means new, infinite research and educational opportunities.


The information technologies and humanities are far away one from each other – but despite different stereotypes they became closer in the name of progress. And this is what we wanted to present. That is why the logo which we designed is the letter “H” combined by those two absolutely extreme branches of science.

The main concept of the visual identification was a careful balance between historical motives and modern graphics. We combined some classical ornaments with a purely abstract symbolism of geometric forms. It could have given quite a cheesy result… but it was a full success.
